JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to help shape the future of VA-Kiruna?

As a Water Engineer, Water Technology, you will work with VA-related investigations from early stages to completed facilities within the drinking water area. In the early stages, this means acting as the investigation/project manager to investigate, evaluate, and propose suitable methods and solutions. When the investigation/project then transitions into a design and execution/construction phase, you will participate as the technical manager and support in the project.

Your assignment includes participating in and conducting various types of VA projects/investigations/plans within the drinking water area, such as:

• Process technology/capacity issues
• Water protection areas
• Self-monitoring programs
• Continuity plan, Crisis preparedness plan
• Risk analyses
• Drinking water quality investigations
• VA plan, Water service plan
• Environmental and sustainability issues

The role includes being the department's expert in environmental and food legislation, which means monitoring and investigating new legislation in the drinking water area and ensuring that it is implemented in the organization while contributing to the operation being conducted in compliance with the legislation. Some reporting is included in the role.

You will work within the Investigation/Planning unit, a unit within the street/VA department. The unit is responsible for investigation and planning issues within the department's technical areas, i.e., street/park and VA.

Your tasks also include meetings and contacts within the department, consultants, authorities, and various stakeholders, as well as producing reports and other documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has curiosity and interest in legislation, new technology, innovative and sustainable solutions. You possess a strong personal drive, which means you take your own initiatives to achieve results. You have a good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize effectively.

You have a technical college/university degree in environmental technology/natural sciences or other education/experience deemed equivalent.

Good communication is central to your role, and the work includes delivering written reports and other documentation. Therefore, it is a requirement that you can express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.

We would like you to have good knowledge of environmental and/or food legislation, process technology, as well as experience in investigations within the VA area, preferably with previous experience in municipal VA operations, as a consultant or within a supervisory authority.

Good computer skills and administrative abilities are required.

A valid driver's license (B) is required as you need to be able to transport yourself by car in the job.

Start date by agreement, all our positions are preceded by a probationary period.
